Meghalaya State Investment Promotion Board organized Meghalaya State Roundtable as part of the Northeast Global Investor Summit on 17th May 2023 at the State Convention Centre, Shillong.   The sessions aimed to showcase the investment potential and opportunities available in Meghalaya across sectors such as tourism, agriculture, textiles, sports, IT, education, and more. The Roundtable highlighted the state's favourable business climate, infrastructure, resources, skilled human resources, and various initiatives taken by the government to facilitate investment and ease of doing business. 

The Roundtable consisted of an Investment Readiness Workshop for government officials regarding North-East Global Investors Summit, which was chaired by Dr. Vijay Kumar D., Commissioner & Secretary, Planning Department, Government of Meghalaya. The inaugural session was chaired by Shri. R.M Mishra, Executive Chairman, MSIPB followed by an open interactive session of investors with Shri. Pravin Bakshi, Commissioner and Secretary, Commerce & Industries. 

The Roundtable was graced by senior Government officers including Shri. K. Moses Chalai, Secretary North-Eastern Council, Shri Lok Ranjan, Secretary Ministry of DoNER, Government of India, Shri. D.P Wahlang, Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya, Shri. Harpreet Singh, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of DoNER, Dr. B.D.R Tiwari, Commissioner & Secretary, Meghalaya State Investment Promotion Board, Dr. Joram Beda, Commissioner & Secretary, Government of Meghalaya, and other distinguished government officials, industry leaders, and investors.  The investors got an opportunity to interact with government officers from relevant departments, and several projects and proposals were taken forward through one-on-one interactions.
